TW!NGTWANG Guzheng/Koto Samples.
A downloadable 声音!
Enjoy the Sultry Sounds of China with this simple set of samples.
The Guzheng, like its Japanese cousin the Koto, is a stringed instrument which is played by plucking. It is distinguished for its iconic twang and resonance. For centuries, it has been employed to invoke the playful dignity of Nature, known as Dao, as well as the heritage of its constituents.
The sounds enclosed were synthesized for the popular Rhythm Game the Song of BingQiu. You can hear the original piece of music composed for that Soundtrack HERE.
Within are 56 minute samples, each scarcely a second long, as well as a 13-second sample from the Song of BingQiu. These samples include TWANG GUZHENG, as well as the more Koto-sounding and austere HI GUZHENG and Standard GUZHENG, both tuned to the Pentatonic Scale unequivocally emblematic of China and Korea.
But wait!! There's more:
For an additional price of $5.00, you can get the Expansion Pack, which includes two full chromatic octaves of each of the enclosed Instruments, tuned from A3 to A5. (75 notes in toto.)
Thank you for keeping the Spirit of the Ancient Far East alive with TW!NGTWANG*.
*it's clearly an onomatopoeia. Don't take it personally. Haha.
